Town Marshal Scott Cole
Scott joined the Albion Police Department in 1984 as a member of the Albion Marshal’s Posse’ moving into a part-time position and then earned a full time slot in 1989. In 1997 Scott was promoted to the Department’s Chief Deputy / Investigator and served as the Albion PD Detective. In 2008 Scott resumed his title as Albion PD's Chief Deputy / Investigator. Scott is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, a Field Training Officer, I.T. Administrator and was the Department's Liaison to the Albion Police Reserve Unit. Scott was appointed to the Town Marshal's position October, 2018.
Chief Deputy / Cpt. Trince Hursey
Trince rejoined the Albion Police Department's full-time ranks in 2015. Trince is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Trince is currently a Chemical Test Operator for the Department and the Department's Liaison to the Albion Police Reserve Unit. Trince was promoted to the Chief Deputy position in 2019
Detective / Sgt. David (DJ) Thieme
DJ joined the Albion Police Department in 2003. DJ currently is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, Glock Armorer, Remington Armorer, O.C. Spray Instructor and a Certified Chemical Test Operator. DJ is also a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. DJ was promoted to the Detective (Investigator) position and attended training for the Department in 2019.
Deputy Marshal Ryan Castle
Ryan joined the Albion Police Department first as an Albion Reserve then moved his way to Part time. Ryan was working Full time as a member of the Albion Police Department in 2018. Ryan is a successful graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and is a Certified Chemical Test Operator.
Deputy Marshal Matthew Fought
Matt joined the Albion Police Department first as an Albion Reserve and then moved his way to a Part-Time position. Matt then joined as a Full-Time member of the Albion Police Department in 2019. Matt has successfully graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Class.
Deputy Marshal Charles Lewallen
Charles joined the Albion Police Department first as an Albion part-time Deputy Marshal and then moved his way to a full-time position. Charles joined the Albion Police Department in 2021. Charles has successfully graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Class and is certified in several areas of Law Enforcement. Charles comes to us from a short time off from Law Enforcement and Charles is a welcome addition to the Albion Police Department.
The Albion Police Department has both Part-time and Reserve Deputy Marshals who contribute to the Albion PD when they are called upon to do so.
The Albion Police Department also employs one School Crossing Guard which is posted on the East Main Street Crossings, at Cougar Court.
