Town Marshal Tom Lock
Tom started with the Albion Police Department in 1980, then moved to the Ligonier Police Department to a long and dedicated career. While at Ligonier Tom moved up through the ranks, which included being appointed as the Chief of Police of Ligonier. After his retirement from Ligonier, Tom rejoined the Albion Police Department as the Town Marshal in the summer of 2005.
Chief Deputy / Investigator Scott Cole
Scott joined the Albion Police Department in 1984 as a member of the Albion Marshal’s Posse’ then moved into a part-time position and earned a full time slot in 1989. In 1997 Scott was promoted to the Department’s Chief Deputy / Investigator and served as the Albion PD Detective. In 2008 Scott resumed his title as Albion PD's Chief Deputy / Investigator. Scott is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, a Field Training Officer, I.T. Administrator and is the current Department's Liaison to the Albion Police Reserve Unit.
Deputy Marshal David (DJ) Thieme
DJ joined the Albion Police Department in 2003. DJ currently is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, Glock Armorer, Remington Armorer, O.C. Spray Instructor and a Certified Chemical Test Operator.
Deputy Marshal Craig Bear
Craig rejoined the Albion Police Department's full-time position in 2015. Craig is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and is currently serves as a Field Training Officer for the Albion PD.
Deputy Marshal Trince Hursey
Trince rejoined the Albion Police Department's full-time ranks in 2015. Trince is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Trince is a Chemical Test Operator for the Department.
Deputy Marshal Lucas Pant
Lucas joined the Albion Police Reserves and then was promoted to the Albion Police Department's full-time ranks in 2018. Lucas will be attending the Indiana Law Enfrocement Academy this fall.
The Albion Police Department has both Part time and Reserve Deputy Marshals who contribute to the Albion PD when they are called upon to do so.
The Albion Police Reserve Members also perform security for many area functions including sporting events for the Central Noble Schools, Chain-O-Lakes Festival, Annual REMC Picnic, Stone’s Trace Festival, Wolf Lake Onion Days and the Albion Harvest Festival just to name a few.
The Albion Police Department also employs one School Crossing Guard which is posted on the East Main Street Crossings..
